The beginnings (1893–1927)
1893 ALOIS SENONER from Val Gardena purchased the ‘Gasserhof’ in Spinga. Beside the pub, he also opened a little tobacco shop. In addition, he got involved in some timber trade and ran a small agricultural enterprise with dairy farming.

From guesthouse to holiday destination (1928–1971)
1928 JOHANN SENONER, who was born in 1901, took over the business from his father. He extended the small pub/guesthouse and included rooms for holiday makers. The tobacco shop changed into a general store and the agricultural enterprise continued to run as well.
 
The rise of winter tourism (1972–1999)
1972 JOHANN SENONER II took over. The guesthouse and general store still ran successfully. The rooms for summer holiday makers were renovated in 1975. Then, winter tourism started to flourish. In the beginning, the hotel concentrated mainly on youth groups and bus tours, but at a later stage, included individual holiday makers. A new farm building was erected.
 
From guesthouse to hotel with wellness (2000–2009)
2000 The hotel received an annex, consisting of 12 apartments and a wellness area.
2002 During this year, the underground garage was completed.
2006 HANSJÖRG SENONER, son of the current owner, took over the running of the hotel and the agricultural enterprise. In the same year, the entire older part of the hotel was renovated and updated. The rooms are now bright and spacious – and the light-catching reception area received a glass cupola, which makes it the centre-piece of the entire hotel.

Modernisation & family business – 4th generation (since 2009)
2009 A new, large outdoor children’s playground is added.
2010 During this year, the underground garage was extended for cars and busses, which created 30 additional parking spaces.
2011 Tennis, badminton, basketball & volleyball can now be played on the new all-weather court. A petting zoo was added for all the family!
2013 Our focus is on renewable energy! A cogeneration plant provides heating and electricity for the hotel, the primary school and the multipurpose building.
2016 Our annexe was renovated and new rooms and suites were created.
2019 Renovation and expansion of the hotel bar and gift shop.
